Abstract Submission Guideline
Abstracts can be submitted under any of the following categories:

Eligibility Criteria:

All healthcare staff, researchers or students in Sabah state are eligible to participate in this competition.

Abstract to be submitted must be health-related research work either conducted in Sabah or involving researchers in Sabah.

The abstract must be an ORIGINAL work and has not been previously published in any academic journals.

Abstract that has been presented at other scientific conferences can still be submitted, but will not enter the oral/poster competition.

Studies conducted in Ministry of Health facilities or using Ministry of Health data must submit NMRR ID and MREC approval letter/email (if applicable) with their abstract.

Multiple submissions per author is allowed. However, please only upload ONE abstract per submission.

Extended deadline for abstract submission is 31st July 2023. Late submission will not be entertained.

One of the authors/the presenter must register as a delegate for the conference by 30th July 2023.
Terms and conditions :

Only abstracts received before the closing date will be considered. Any late submissions will not be entertained.

All abstracts will be screened by the scientific committee. Successful applicants will be notified via email on or before 25th August 2023.

The scientific committee’s decision is final.

All selected abstracts for poster and oral presentation competitions will be published in the conference booklet. Abstract may be revised for quality & content.

Kindly use the following templates to submit your abstract:

Abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
-
Abstracts should not exceed 300 words excluding the title and headings.
-
DO NOT include author names, facility, or organisation within the abstract.

DO NOT submit your abstract in one paragraph with no headings. Please follow the following structured abstract format:

Original research: Introduction, Method, Results, Conclusion

Case report: Introduction, Case description, Discussion, Conclusion

Please include 2-5 keywords that accurately capture the essence of your study in your abstract.

Abstracts should not include tables, charts or other graphics.
-
All abstracts must come with NMRR ID (i.e., NMRR-xx-xxxxx-xx). Abstracts with only research ID (i.e., IDs that start with RSCH) will not be accepted.

Original research abstracts should be submitted together with MREC approval letter/email.
-
The organiser will apply for the approval of the Director-General of Health Malaysia for presentation on behalf of all successful abstract applicants.
